Service
Information
Where: 950 Trumble St. (map)
When: 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Sundays
What to Expect:
Worship –
Our service begins with 25-30 minutes of worship songs. We believe that
one of the most important things that followers of Jesus do when they
gather together is to give him praise and honor. During this time, you
may see people sitting, standing, kneeling, or raising their hands.
We invite you to participate at whatever level you feel comfortable.
Try to use this time to personally connect with God.
Sharing –
At the River, it is important to us to take time in our service for
anyone to get a chance to share. We provide 10-15 minutes for anyone
to come to the front and share prayer requests, answers to prayer, stories
from life, or anything else that is on your heart. This helps us to
grow together as a community as we care for one another. We will often
pray for different people during this time. At the end of the sharing
time, we take our offering. This provides an opportunity for the people
who regularly attend the River to give back to God out of the resources
that they have been given. This helps to support the ministry of this
church. Please do not worry about contributing anything until you become
a part of the church community..
Halftime –
After our sharing time, we take a “halftime break” to eat
bagels, drink coffee or juice, and primarily to connect with other people
at the church. Everything is free, so help yourself.
Message –
After halftime, we gather back in the sanctuary to listen to the message.
This is a time that we can learn together from the Bible about what
we believe and how we should live. There is a place in your program
to take notes if you desire. The message usually lasts about 25 minutes
and is a very participatory and interactive time where anyone who wishes
has opportunities to share their insights. We often close the service
with a final song afterward.
